On mid year 2015, my superior give me the opportunity to do Business Travel to the branch office in all areas in Indonesia. I really appreciate this, because I love traveling so much. I don't like sitting all day in my chair and also I'm a cheapskate. But, hey don't judge me. Who doesn't like free travel, right? LOL. To be fair, that's not free at all because I have to work hard and sent the following report to my superior. (Of course, Baby!) It's not a big deal, as long as I can enjoy the city after office hour.

The Advantage of Business Travel are:

1. Four or Five Star Hotel

Honestly, if I travel with my own money. I'll pick two or three-star hotels. Often times I choose the low budget hostel. Hihihi. To me, the most important thing for accommodation is the cleanliness (because I have to pray in my room).

It's different when I do business travel. My company let me choose where I want to stay. My budget is enough to stay in Standard or Superior Room in Four Star and sometimes in Five Star Hotel. I always book my hotel from Traveloka, Traveloka always gives me a good deal rather than directly book from the hotel. They have many variations from Hostel to Five-star hotels. Another cheap alternative is using corporate prices. Usually, I call the hotel reservation and ask if they collaborate with my company so the can give me the corporate price. Sometimes it's cheaper in Traveloka, sometimes it's cheaper with the corporate price. It depends on what time I book the hotel. If peak season I get a higher price and vice versa.

2. Good Airlines

It's not all the times, but if I get chance, (mostly because there is no alternatives airlines) I always love to fly with Garuda Indonesia, collect point for my frequent flyer and exchange it for another free ticket. The other day, when I don't allow to take Garuda, for budget reason. I'm happy enough to choose Citilink or Batik Air.

3. The After Office Hour

If I have friend who can accompany me (In fact, I dislike solo traveling) to explore the city that I currently visit, I'll extend day in that place. For example, if I am only have given 3 days from office, mostly Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I extend until Saturday or Sunday. In late 2015, I get a chance to go for a week to two city, I have to work only from Monday to Wednesday and fortunately Thursday and Friday is a public holiday. Hip Hip Hooray! I went from Sunday morning and the Sunday afternoon the next week and arrive in-home at 8 PM. The next day, which is Monday I have to work as usual. My co-worker sometimes ask me, "Are you not exhausted?" You can guest my answer, "No I'm not!" with a joyful smile on my face.

4. Picture to Take

I'm an amateur photographer who loves to takes any kind of picture especially food and landscape photography. Another business trip means another photo stock in my Laptop. Sometimes, I upload in my Instagram. For me, photo is the most valuable thing I get from traveling.

5. No Need To Take Annual Leave

If you get paid from your steady job then absolutely you have the responsibility to your job. It's common in Indonesia that employee only get 12 days of annual leave. So, if you like most employee in this country, you will find it difficult to take long days to discover another place. Moreover, if there is no one can temporarily replace your position. Business trip is the only chance that I both can travel and also to finish my job as usual.

6. Networking

One of the biggest benefit I get from a business trip is a new friend. I met new employee from the branch office and also my company's client. In general, people in region are nicer than people in big cities. They happy to escort me exploring the city. They like to share local food and a great place for photography.

7. Travel Allowance

As a frugal person, this is one of the things that I love from Business Travel. OMG! I can do this all my life. ROTFL. I can buy something as a gift for my co-worker and my family, usually food. I can share the happiness to people around me.

8. Boring Free

It's tiring and boring to sit in my chair for 9 hours and more. Plus the traffic in Jakarta which happens almost every day. It really gives me headache. Nice to see the other side of Indonesia. Get new knowledge about the culture in another town.

I am grateful with my current job, and I wish they still give me chance to travel around Indonesia. Because Indonesia is an amazing country, isn't it?

Pulang ke acara nikahan kemaren siang, Saya bersama ketiga teman lainnya memutuskan untuk hang out sebentar di Depok. Salah satu teman Saya yang pernah kuliah di daerah sana mengajak Kami untuk nongkrong di Dino Steak and Pasta yang berlokasi di Jalan Margonda no 408. Tepatnya di pusat kota Depok.

Karena Kami masih agak kenyang dari acara Nikahan, kami pun 'hanya' memesan Burger Daging Sapi dan Kentang goreng dengan Judul Godzilla Burger. Kenapa Godzilla? Mungkin karena porsinya yang hanya sanggup dihabiskan Godzilla dengan sekali telan kali,ya? Hehehe.... Anyway, Godzilla Burger ini berisikan 5 Patty tebal yang super lezat!! Bener deh!! Patty nya terdiri dari 1,5 KG Daging Sapi impor dan dicampur dengan potongan Bawang Bombay cincang dan di Grill dengan tingkat kematangan yang pas. Agak mirip-mirip dengan Kornet kualitas premium rasanya. Pokoknya endes!! French Fries dan Onion Ring nya standar Resto Fast Food yang lain sih... Crispy and Salty. Cuma sayang, untuk Onion Ring nya agak berminyak. Mungkin bagi yang tidak suka makanan yang oily bisa mengindari makan onionnya.

Yep, Dino Steak and Pasta House menyajikan dua challenge untuk para penggila kuliner yang merasa dirinya bisa makan banyak dan makan pedas. Challenge yang pertama yakni, Menandaskan 1 Porsi Godzilla Burger dalam waktu 30 Menit dan yang ke dua, menyapu bersih sajian “Pasta Penghancur Sukma”.

Harga makanan disini cukup murah karena memang sepertinya restoran ini membidik Mahasiswa sebagai pasar mereka. IDR 15.000 - IDR 40.000 untuk makanan lainnya seperti Pasta Penhancur Sukma yang konon katanya pedes banget (Saya ga berani makan yang pedes-pedes), Sirloin Steak dan Spaghetti Seafood Marinara. Untuk minumannya dibanderol dengan harga IDR 8.000 - IDR 14.000.

Oia, setiap harinya diadakan Godzilla Burger Challenge yaitu Free Godzilla Burger dengan syarat harus menghabiskan Burger beserta Onion Ring dan French Fries nya dalam waktu 30 menit!! dan harus dilakukan sendirian!!! Duh, Saya berempat dengan tiga orang diantaranya laki-laki saja tidak sanggup menghabiskan semuanya sampai tuntas. Apalagi kalau sendirian ya? Hihihi.

Setelah melihat postingan @anakjajan di Instagram, siang tadi Saya iseng mengunjungi Central Park untuk melihat langsung Great Britain Food Festival yang merupakan pertama kalinya diadakan di Jakarta.

Disana ada beberapa Stan yang menjual makanan dan jajanan khas Inggris... Seperti Pizza Express, Royal Albert, Teh Twinings, Fish & Chips dan Juga Stan dari The Dharmawangsa dan Pullman Hotel.

Karena Saya sudah makan sebelumnya dan masih full perut inih... Saya memutuskan hanya mampir di Stan The Dharmawangsa dan memesan sepotong Cheesecake dan Walnut Cake.

It taste good! Really! Especially the Cheese Cake. Super Yummie! Kejunya smooth, Almondnya Crispy dan Taburan Frozen Fruit seperti Raspberry, Strawberry, dan Orange menambah kaya cita rasa kue tersebut. Untuk Walnut Cakenya saya tidak begitu suka, karena ada lelehan Dark Chocolate nya yang notabene Pahit!

Ayo guys bagi yang tidak punya acara bisa mampir ke event ini. Terakhir hari ini lho!!
